Tuition and Fees

Lake Norman Christian School is a non-profit organization, completely dependent upon tuition and donations as its principal sources of income. Parents are responsible for prompt payment of all outstanding tuition and fees. Limited financial aid may be available. Tuition payments are handled by FACTS tuition management. Through FACTS, parents establish automatic bank payments from their checking, savings, or credit card accounts. Tuition does not cover supplies, before and after school care, sports participation, clubs, tutoring, consumable or damaged textbooks or equipment, yearbook, uniforms, or fieldtrips. 

Kindergarten [2017-2018]

  • $185 Registration Fee (Non-Refundable)

Grades 1st-5th [2017-2018]

  • $1,200 Tuition for first year-long course; $2,000 for each additional course

Registration Fee

  • All students, without exception, must pay the registration fee upon submission of the application.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable and non-prorated except for non-acceptance by Lake Norman Christian School.
  • Re-enrolling students must fill out a re-enrollment form and pay the registration fee to guarantee placement for the following school year.

Curriculum and PTF Fees

  • Both Curriculum and PTF Fees are non-refundable.  

Tuition Payment Schedules

  • Early Bird payment - to be paid in full by May 1 with a 4% discount.
  • Pre-payment - to be paid in full by June 1 with a 3% discount.
  • Semi-annual payments - to be paid on June 1 and December 1 with a 2% discount.
  • Ten monthly payments, beginning on July 1 and continuing through April 1 or June 1.

Multiple Child Discount

Families with multiple students pay full tuition for the child with the highest tuition, receiving a 10% discount for siblings.

Children of Pastors Discount

Children of ordained pastors in full-time, local church ministry are encouraged to apply for financial assistance through FACTS Tuition Aid to receive an appropriate tuition reduction award.

Tuition Assistance

For qualified families, financial aid is available in limited amounts based on need. The person paying the tuition must make application. Full financial documentation and an additional $34 fee are required by FACTS Tuition Aid, who will collect and assess the data, completely independent of Lake Norman Christian.

Tuition Past Due Balance

  • Students will not be allowed to return to school until the balance is paid.
  • Students will be unable to obtain report cards, academic records, or transcripts.
  • Students will not be allowed to re-enroll or begin school until the balance is paid.

Tuition Refund Policy

All tuition is due in full by June 1, or FACTS accounts must be established for semi-annual or monthly payments. In the event of student withdrawal or expulsion prior to January 1st of the current school year, the following refund percentage will be paid on tuitions which have been paid in full. Based on withdrawal or expulsion on or before the dates listed and assuming full payment has been made for the coming year:

  • 90% May 1st
  • 80% June 1st
  • 70% July 1st
  • 60% August 1st
  • 50% September 1st
  • 40% October 1st
  • 30% November 1st
  • 20% December 1st
  • 10% January 1st

Establishing the FACTS Account

This account must be established by June 1 (or if enrollment occurs after that date, within 14 days of acceptance) to avoid a $500 late fee. There are no interest or finance charges through FACTS. However a convenience fee is charged if using a credit card for tuition payments.

Before and After School Care

  • $10 per day for BeforeCare [between the hours of 7:00 and 7:45 AM]
  • $15 per day for AfterCare for the first child and $7.50 per day for each additional child
  • $250 per month flat rate for first child and $125 per month for each additional child
  • AfterCare hours are 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Pickup after 6:00 incurs a heavy charge.

Sports Fees

A separate fee schedule is established for each individual sport and payable prior to the start of each season. A student is not allowed to participate in any scheduled sport until the appropriate fees are collected and required medical exams are complete.

Upper School—Grades 6-12

  • $190 per sport ($140 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • $175 per sport if student plays 2 sports during school year ($125 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • $155 per sport for 3 sports during school year ($105 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • One-half refund after the first practice and prior to the first game
  • No refund after the participant plays the first game

Lower School—Grades K-5

  • $140 per sport ($90 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • $130 per sport for 2 sports ($80 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • $120 per sport for 3 sports during academic year Refund of Participant Fees ($70 if paid by March 14th for Spring Sports)
  • One-half refund after the first practice and prior to the first game
  • No refund after the participant plays the first game
