At Lake Norman Christian School, we believe every child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts, strengths, and a purpose. Our elementary program provides a loving, structured, and Christ-centered environment where students are known, valued, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

During these formative years, learning comes to life through hands-on experiences, meaningful collaboration, and opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Biblical truth is woven throughout the school day, helping students develop a Christian worldview and understand how their faith connects to what they learn and how they live.

Our small class sizes allow teachers to truly know each student—recognizing their God-given strengths, supporting them through challenges, and providing instruction that meets them where they are. Through caring relationships, engaging academics, and intentional spiritual formation, we seek to build a strong foundation that equips students to grow in wisdom, confidence, character, and faith.

Academic Development

Our Lower School curriculum is both challenging and engaging, covering Bible, math, reading, penmanship, science, and social studies. We are a limited-technology school, meaning students use physical textbooks and workbooks to build strong foundational skills through project-based learning.

Biblical Worldview

At LKNC, a biblical worldview is not limited to Bible class or chapel—it is woven throughout every aspect of the educational experience. Students are encouraged to view each subject through the lens of Scripture, recognizing God’s truth and purpose in everything they learn. Whether exploring science, literature, history, mathematics, or the arts, students are challenged to think critically, seek truth, and understand the world from a distinctly Christian perspective.

Enriched Learning

Art, music, library, STEM, and physical education classes complement our core curriculum and give students the opportunity to discover their gifts and interests. Fifth-grade students also have the opportunity to serve on our Safety Squad, taking on real leadership responsibilities that prepare them well for the transition to Middle School.
