High school is a time of expansion and training as students step into greater independence and taking increased ownership of their education. At LKNC, these years are designed to bring together every aspect of student development—academic, physical, social, and spiritual—as students prepare for college, career, and adulthood. Through rigorous academics, meaningful relationships, and a wide range of extracurricular and leadership opportunities, students are challenged to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and consider how God has uniquely equipped them to serve and lead.

Our college preparatory academic program encourages students to challenge themselves through honors courses, Advanced Placement classes, and dual enrollment opportunities. Beyond the classroom, students pursue excellence through athletics, performing arts, clubs, and other activities that allow them to explore their interests, develop their God-given talents, and grow in confidence, discipline, and perseverance.

Faith remains central to the Upper School experience. Students are encouraged not only to deepen their understanding of biblical truth, but also to put their faith into action through leadership and service. Each year, our students dedicate thousands of hours to serving others, while opportunities in student government, athletics, drama productions, and campus life challenge them to take initiative, invest in those around them, and lead with humility and integrity.

Ultimately, our goal is to graduate young men and women who are prepared for more than their next academic step. We want students to leave LKNC equipped to think critically, lead confidently, serve selflessly, stand firmly in their faith, and pursue the life and purpose God has called them to.
